The shipowner will give us information on the delivery dates, on the urgency of the boat delivery. We will specify who will give us the keys of the boat and to whom we will have to give the keys of the boat. If the marine weather conditions are not favorable at the departure, the owner will be informed and will expect the first useful date.
All yachts must have a minimum safety and equipment checklist.
A common issue is that owners overlook service periods, so that gear such as a liferaft are out of service during the delivery. We need to say that engine spares and correct tools are also often found wanting and that some clients do not understand the need for correct insurance.
Insurance
Customers must inform the insurance company that SYD will deliver the boat from point A to point B. Customers must have an endorsement from the insurance company to extend the insurance to the captain and crew for the duration of the transfer.
